Due to a cooperation agreement of 1998, the Doerner Institute tightly cooperates with the study course ”Restoration, Art Technology and Conservation Science” at the Technical University Munich. As they are closely involved in academic teaching, members of the institute also supervise term papers as well as bachelor, master and doctoral theses.

Immediately following the completion of their studies, graduate conservators (diploma and masterlevel) are offered two one-year voluntary traineeships (Old Masters and Modern Art) in the conservation studios. Thanks of the generous support of the Schoof’sche Stiftung an additional one-year traineeship can be offered since 2015. For the Schoof’sche traineeship conservators as well as scientists (diploma and masterlevel, post-docs) are requested to apply.
